People (who)
- Staffing – my team members are clear on their role and feel set up for success.
- Hiring – I identify gaps and expand the team as needed.
- Growth – I understand how my team members want to grow, and support them on that journey. People feel like they're growing their skills based on a thoughtful plan.
- Trust – my team members bring challenges to my attention. We give each other critical feedback and it isn't taken personally.
- Partnership – I build strong relationships with leaders of other disciplines, and they seek out opportunities to work with my team.
Purpose (why)
- My team & I have clarity on why our work matters (+ how it ties into broader business or team goals).
- My team & I can represent the work we're doing effectively to leadership or other disciplines.
Projects (what)
- The balance+amount of work feels right (roadmapping/planning).
- My team & I have clarity on prioritization or sequencing (why this piece first).
- My team & I know what success looks like for each project.
- My team produces meaningful outcomes; our work achieves its goals.
Process (how)
- People know how to best orient to one another within my team. We build a culture of knowledge-sharing, feedback, and collaboration.
- My team & I contribute to process improvements that enable us to work more efficiently & effectively (templates, meetings, etc).
